It’s all about Movement

I was raised on a farm in GA with horses and cows, cats & dogs. I attended school in Texas, Georgia & Israel, where I served 2 years in the Israeli army. I came to NYC for an acting career in January 1993 and, started dancing swing & salsa in the spring of 2000.

My first love and what I am also dedicating the rest of my life to dancing... teaching others how to move and enjoy themselves on the dance floor. Dancing keeps you young and happy. What better life goal could one have!

Salsa

I'm drawn to Salsa because I love the mixture of sounds of the various instruments, along with the dance spins and patterns. This is why I chose a Latin theme for our Ballroom Dance on the Hudson, beneath the stars on Friday, Oct. 5th

Life and Dance

I want our guests to become totally absorbed in the shared experience, to be enjoyed even by those new to the concept and style of ballroom dancing with a latin emphasis.

Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, but about learning to dance in the rain.

Excitement in the Experience

In addition to to being a person with a crazy work ethic, I'm married 25 years to a great guy named Phil and we have two wonderful daughters, Vanessa and Lindsey.

I'd been in sales for many years, including hospitality venues, when I realized that it wasn't the hospitality industry that excited me so much. What excited me was the venue itself - the yachts! The sightseeing that the guests are delighted by, the sensation of sailing on the Hudson, the lights of the NYC skyline all added up to an experience that could not be surpassed by any traditional land venue.

The Journey

I'd worked my way up to a senior corporate sales manager position with that 'other' cruise-line service when I decided to start my own business with nothing more than a phone and computer. The successful growth of my business is all based on the reputation of providing personalized service that is caring, honest and detail-oriented; knowledgeable and  quick to respond.  Although we advertise quite a bit online, almost half of our business comes from referrals along with being the Preferred Vendor of the Marriott, W, Westin & Sheraton hotels, as well as some of the waterfront venues on the Hudson Harbor. 

Our clients like knowing that one call goes directly to the company owner who has a vested interest in providing the best possible experience for their event. This is why I choose to work only with the yachts that consistently execute flawless events.

Swingadelic - -NYC Metro’s Greatest Little Big Band

Swingadelic began in 1998 as the neo-swing movement was cresting. Upright bassist Dave Post gathered his jazz & blues playing friends together to play engagements at New York City's Supper Club, Swing 46 and Windows On The World, the former restaurant atop of the World Trade Center. As the swing scene waned the band was able to turn to swing dance groups, concerts, festivals, schools and private engagements to keep active.

Swingadelic has performed at Lincoln Center's Midsummer Night Swing, NJPAC, and at many festivals, including Bele Chere (Ashville NC), MusikFest (Allentown PA) the CD 109 Jazz & Blues Festival (Red Bank, NJ) and the sanofi-aventis JazzFest (Madison NJ).

The band plays about 100 dates per year and has traveled from Maine to Atlanta. Swingadelic has maintained a residency for six years at Swing 46 in NYC where it performs every other Monday as a ten piece "little big band."

Swingadelic has seven CDs and has been recording for the ZOHO Music label since 2011. Swingadelic CDs have been in the JazzWeek Radio charts top thirty and garnered many critically acclaimed reviews in jazz publications such as Jazz Times and All About Jazz.

Their newest ZOHO release (April 2017) is called "Mercerville" a collection of songs written by the legendary Johnny Mercer who was not only an iconic figure as a lyricist and composer for the American Songbook, but he was a celebrity and entertainer throughout the 40's and 50's, with a popular radio show during the war years had gigs with a lot of the big bands of the era, hit records of his own and winner of four Academy Awards for Best Song as well as two Grammys for Song of the Year.

Swingadelic

Noted ballroom dance performer and instructor.

Originally enticed to the ballroom world by Latin music, he now enjoys and teaches all styles of Latin, Ballroom, and Swing dancing, and has been teaching dance for over 15 years. He has an extensive performance background and has competed with many of his students but remains loyal to pure social dancing.

Danny believes strong instruction and constructive encouragement are essential at the basic level of dance. This approach to teaching is Danny’s particular expertise; he prides himself on being able to teach anyone to dance.
